How to Create a Hyperlink in Adobe InDesign
See Adobe InDesign: Tips and Tricks for similar articles.
InDesign lets you create text hyperlinks that will be live in an Acrobat PDF or ePUB document.
This feature works similarly in InDesign CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, and CC versions.
- Select the text you want to link with the Type Tool, then go to the Window menu, scroll down to Interactive, and choose Hyperlinks.

- In the Hyperlinks Panel, you could simply type a web address into the URL field, or for more options, click the New button at the bottom of the panel.

- Hyperlinks can be created for websites, email, other files, or navigation. Additionally, starting with InDesign CS6, by default, a new Character Style is created the first time you make a hyperlink in a document. You don't have to use the character style, or you could edit it in the Character Styles Panel. Just set the options and click OK.
