How to Resize an Object and Apply to All in Adobe Captivate
See Adobe Captivate: Tips and Tricks for similar articles. There are many efficiencies built into Captivate, which is one reason it's the preferred software for so many instructional designers. This example will show how a click box that is common to all slides can be resized on all the slides at once.
- The click box has an action set to open a URL and is positioned over the logo an each slide. During development, the logo was scaled down in size on the master slides, so now the click boxes are too large. Select a Click Box on any slide and adjust the size.
- Keep the click box selected and go to the Properties Inspector Options tab. Click the Transform menu and select Apply to all items of this type.
- Don't try to use this technique for media such as JPGs or PNGs because it will not just resize a specific image that may have been repeated. Rather it will resize anything with that file format, even different images.
