How to Apply a Style Globally in Adobe Captivate

Consistent formatting of objects, such as captions and highlight boxes, cannot be understated when it comes to illustrating professionalism in modules. Fortunately, Captivate provides tools for easily achieving that consistency. In this example, a caption style will be changed globally.

  1. Select a caption, then go the Properties Inspector Style tab. Select a different Caption Type, or modify any properties you want, such as the font or alignment. Properties Inspector
  2. A plus sign (+) will appear before the Style Name because the formatting has been modified. Properties Inspector
  3. Click the Style Name menu and select Save changes to Existing Style. Properties Inspector
  4. Look at other slides in the project to see that the change has taken effect. Caption Style Change
