How to Rescale a Project in Adobe Captivate
If you need to change slide dimensions for a module, it's a fairly simple process, but it can't be undone. If you're unsure whether you'll need the original size in the future, create a duplicate of the project. In this example, a project that started out at 1024 x 627 pixels will be resized to 1024 x 768 pixels.
- Go to Modify > Rescale project.

- In the Size section of the dialog box, there are a few ways to set the dimensions:
- Set a custom size using the Width and Height fields (minimum size is 100 x 100 pixels). Maintain Aspect Ratio maintains the width and height proportions for images that are resized, ensure they display without distortion.
- Set percentage values.
- Select from the Preset Size menu.

- Depending on whether the new size is larger or smaller, you'll have different options in the lower half of the dialog box.
- If the new size is larger:
- Resize Project to Fit New Size rescales the project and Rescale all Objects will resize captions, click boxes, highlight boxes and other objects.
- Keep project the same size and fill with background color keeps all content at its original dimensions and allows you to choose a position for it, such as center or upper-right. The area around the content will be filled with a background color of your choice.

- If new size is smaller:
- Rescale Project to Fit New Size rescales the project and Rescale all Objects will resize captions, click boxes, highlight boxes and other objects.

- Crop crops the project to the new size. If you use this option, click Next to open the Crop Area dialog box where you can define the crop position on each slide individually, or apply the same crop to all slides.

- Rescale Project to Fit New Size rescales the project and Rescale all Objects will resize captions, click boxes, highlight boxes and other objects.
- Click Finish.
