See Adobe Captivate: Tips and Tricks for similar articles.

Captivate offers many stylistic options for captions, or you can create your own. This tutorial will show how to edit the default caption style for modules where the captions have already been generated.

  1. Edit the Default Caption Style by going to Edit > Object Style Manager. Edit Menu
  2. The Object Style Manager allows you to efficiently edit the properties for Captivate Objects. In the dialog box that opens, you'll see a list of categories at the left, then a list of objects within a category in the middle, with object properties on the right. Select the default caption style you want to edit from the middle list, in this case, Default Capture Caption Style. Object Style Manager
  3. Click the Caption Type menu and select a different style, then change some of the Text Format attributes. Click Apply to update the existing captions in the module, then click OK. Object Style Manager
  4. The existing captions are updated. Updated Captions
