How to Use the Group Selection Tool in Adobe Illustrator
See Adobe Illustrator: Tips and Tricks for similar articles.The Group Selection Tool is used to modify individual objects in a group with out having to first ungroup.
- These objects have been grouped using the Group command, Ctrl+G
- To change the color of some of the petal shapes without ungrouping (Ctrl+Shift+G), I'll go to the Tool Bar, click and hold on the Direct Selection Tool, and choose the Group Selection Tool.
- Click to select one object in a group. To select additional objects, Shift-click. Here Ive changed the color of every other shape.
