Course Overview

Professional Scrum Master - Advanced (PSM-A) is an advanced course for experienced Scrum Masters who want to strengthen their ability to serve Scrum Teams and organizations. Through discussion and exercises, you will explore the practices, tools, skills, and stances of an effective Scrum Master and examine how Scrum principles and values can guide decisions in complex situations.

Throughout the course, you will examine how Scrum Masters can support Developers and Product Owners, address conflict and impediments, reinforce the importance of a Done Increment, and help create an environment where Scrum Teams can become more effective. You will also explore the Scrum Master's leadership role and interactions with the wider organization, including the challenges surrounding organizational change and middle management. The course prepares students for the Scrum.org Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) certification.
