Set up for XSLT and XSL-FO Training

• Operating system:
  • PC: Windows 10 or later.
  • Mac: OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8) or later.
• Browser: The latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
• Adobe Acrobat Reader - Download
   
• NOTE: Dual monitors are extremely helpful but NOT required.

XML Editor

We recommend one of the below XML Editors. Follow the links for instructions on downloading and installing them.

• XMLSpy Professional Edition (Windows)
• <oXygen/> XML Editor (Mac)

Installing FOP

1. Download the Binary installation of fop.
2. Unzip the downloaded fop file into a folder on the C drive.
3. Rename the folder to "fop"

Making FOP the XSL-FO Transformation Engine for XMLSPY

1. Choose Options from the Tools menu.
2. Select the XSL tab.
3. In the field at the bottom, type the path to fop.bat.
