Course Overview

Build a strong foundation in Java programming, from setting up a development environment and writing your first program to creating object-oriented applications. You will work with Java syntax, variables, methods, classes, packages, flow-control structures, arrays, inheritance, interfaces, and exception handling.

The course also introduces collections, generics, streams, lambda expressions, inner classes, and enums. Practical payroll and game exercises reinforce key concepts and show you how to organize reusable, maintainable Java code.

Course Benefits

  • Set up a Java development environment and compile and run Java programs.
  • Use Java syntax, variables, data types, constants, operators, and methods.
  • Create classes and objects using constructors, encapsulation, and method overloading.
  • Organize Java code with packages and generate documentation with Javadoc.
  • Implement decisions and repetition with conditional statements and loops.
  • Create and manipulate arrays, including arrays of objects and multidimensional arrays.
  • Apply inheritance, polymorphism, abstract classes, and type casting.
  • Define and implement interfaces and use annotations.
  • Handle errors with standard and custom exceptions.
  • Use collections, iterators, generics, streams, and lambda expressions.
  • Work with nested classes, anonymous inner classes, and enums.
