Data-security is emphasized throughout the course, with heavy emphasis placed on sanitizing and minimizing inputs, validating AI outputs, and maintaining a consistent attribution and audit trail for AI-assisted work. Participants will also learn to design narrow-scope AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Agent Builder (NOT Copilot Studio) by defining purpose, users, inputs, trusted sources, outputs, guardrails, and success criteria. Government employees will leave the session ready to use AI effectively in their day-to-day work.

  • Day 1: CompTIA AI Prompting Essentials
    • Build a foundation in AI prompting with this vendor-neutral, in-depth session. Participants learn to write effective prompts, verify and refine AI outputs, automate routine tasks, and apply AI ethically and securely. No coding or prior AI experience required.
  • Day 2 - Morning: AI Teamwork with Master Prompts and Shared Projects
    • This session is designed for teams who want to share reliable assets and collaborate using AI. The training covers structuring a master prompt, documenting prompts for a team, and setting up shared projects so a consistent starting point exists for everyone.
  • Day 2 - Afternoon: Protecting Sensitive Data When Using AI
    • Practical strategies for responsible, secure, and compliant AI use. Covers sanitizing and minimizing AI inputs, validating AI-generated outputs, maintaining an audit trail, and human-in-the-loop governance.
  • Day 3 - Think Like an Agent
    • This hands-on workshop teaches students to design agents using Microsoft Copilot Agent Builder (not Copilot Studio). Participants create a narrow-scope AI agent with defined guardrails and human oversight.
