Setup for ASP.NET Using C# and Web Forms

Required Software

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or later.
  • Visual Studio 2017 Pro
  • Fiddler
  • Windows Azure Account

Instructions

Visual Studio 2017 Pro

If you don't already have Visual Studio 2017 Pro installed, download and install it. This version includes LocalDB, a lightweight version of SQL Server 2016 Express. The free Visual Studio Community 2017 may be used.

Fiddler

Download and install Fiddler.

Windows Azure Account

It is mandatory for you to have an Azure Account setup for this class. If you do not have an account, Microsoft Learning provides the ability for students pre-register for Windows Azure trial accounts. Windows Azure student account provisioning can take up to 48 hours. One Trial Pass per WLID/Microsoft account, if you have already used a trial pass you will need to create a new email Microsoft account(WLID)
