Lesson 1: Crash Course in CSS

This lesson provides a basic introduction to CSS. We discuss the general benefits of CSS and show you how to apply styles to specific elements throughout the your web pages. After going through this lesson, you'll have a good understanding of how CSS works. From there, it's mostly a matter of learning the different properties and values for setting styles.

Lesson 2: CSS Fonts

In this lesson, you will learn how to use CSS to change the font size, to make text bold and italic and even to change the text to use Small Caps.

Lesson 3: CSS Text

In this lesson, you will learn to modify text CSS properties to modify spacing between letters, words, and lines and to underline and cross out text. You will also learn to specify how white space is handled.

Lesson 4: Backgrounds and Colors

In this lesson, you will learn to modify font and background colors and background images with CSS.

Lesson 5: CSS and Links

In this lesson you will learn to style links with CSS before, while, and after the user interacts with them.

Lesson 6: Borders, Margins and Padding

In this lesson, you will learn to add different types of borders around elements and to provide buffers between elements on the page using margin and padding.

Lesson 7: Styling Tables with CSS

Although tables should not be used for laying out pages, they should still be used for tabular data, such as financial reports or a meeting agenda.

Lesson 8: Transforms and Transitions

CSS3 introduces transitions and transforms - powerful tools to create visually interesting, complex animations and effects without the use of JavaScript.
