How to Set a Default Theme in Microsoft PowerPoint

If you want to apply a particular theme to all of your future PowerPoint presentations, you can make it your default theme. Creating a default theme saves time when creating future presentations.

This feature works the same in all modern versions of Microsoft PowerPoint: 2010, 2013, and 2016.


  1. Right-click on the theme and select Set as Default Theme.

The theme will be applied to your future presentations until you select a different default theme.
