To be able to address problems with people most effectively, it helps to understand them. The following list of behaviors will help you recognize pessimist personalities in the workplace.
Some people are unhappy and seem content to be unhappy. Negative attitudes and behaviors, like all attitudes and behaviors, are a choice. The pessimist will:
- Notice everything that is wrong.
- Complain about the people and things they encounter.
- Tend to be grumpy and critical of others.
- May criticize others behind their back or to their face.
- Automatically discount new ideas.
- Can be a powerful barrier to creativity and productivity.
