How to Quick Add a Name in a Timesheet in QuickBooks
Once you have set up timesheets in QuickBooks, you can use the Quick Add feature to add a name on the fly while you are doing data entry. To Quick Add a name in a timesheet, follow these four steps.This feature works the same in versions 2011–2016 of QuickBooks.
- In the Name field, type the employee, vendor, or other name.
- When you tab out of the Name field, you are advised that the name does not exist. Click Quick Add.
- In the Select Name Type dialog box, select the name type.
- Click OK. There may be additional prompts if the Payroll feature is enabled.
