How to Animate a Chart in Microsoft PowerPoint

Animate the charts in your PowerPoint presentations to make them more dynamic and interesting to the audience. To animate a PowerPoint chart, follow these four simple steps.

This feature works the same in all modern versions of Microsoft PowerPoint: 2010, 2013, and 2016.

  1. Select the chart to animate.

  2. On the Animations tab, in the Animation pane, select an entrance effect.

  3. Click Effect Options.

  4. You will see options related to your choice of entrance effect, such as the direction and sequence in which your information will appear. Select the effect option(s) to apply.
