How to Access File Explorer in Windows 10

If you have worked with previous versions of Windows, you may be familiar with Windows Explorer, a way to browse and work with files and folders on your computer. In Windows 10, Windows Explorer has been replaced with File Explorer. The following steps show how to access File Explorer in Windows 10.

  1. Click the Start menu button.

  2. Select File Explorer.

  3. File Explorer opens in Quick access view.

  4. This view displays pinned and recently accessed items. You can select from these or navigate on the left to other files.

  5. To select a file or folder from the search list, double-click it.
