This webinar provides live HTML5 tutorials and covers how to implement new tags and features in HTML5. It also covers browser compatibility and how to check your browser for compatibility issues.

The presenter for the webinar is Connie Howell, expert HTML5 trainer. Connie is an avid web designer and loves Dreamweaver and Captivate. Connie has been a trainer for over 10 years. Besides teaching software programs, she teaches more than 10 computer languages, including PHP, VBA, and HTML5.

Class Outline

  1. Go over the new DOCTYPE declaration.
  2. Review many of the new tags to determine how to use them.
  3. A look at old HTML 4 code compared to HTML5.
  4. Review how to use the new audio and video tags.
  5. Look at the new tags used with forms and see how different browsers react to them.
  6. A look at the new canvas tag and discuss how JavaScript plays a major role in HTML5.
  7. Go over the new local storage feature.
  8. Briefly discuss API.
