This is a server-side agnostic Ajax training class. Examples in the provided course manual are in JSP, and there are equivalent examples in the class files in PHP, ColdFusion, and Classic ASP. The focus is on the client-side aspects of Ajax (i.e., JavaScript), so, while it's helpful to understand the server side, it's not required or assumed.

Students learn to make calls to the server with JavaScript and to manipulate XML content returned from the server. Ajax opens the door to creating sophisticated web-based applications with much more of the logic (and therefore code) handled on the client. While Ajax allows for more dynamic and responsive applications, it changes the traditional role of JavaScript dramatically and forces developers to rethink how they write and manage JavaScript code. After taking this Ajax training course, students will be able to create sophisticated Ajax-based applications in an efficient and modular way.

For private groups new to CSS, XML, XSLT and/or JavaScript, this Ajax training course can be customized to include accelerated introductions to those technologies.

This Dreamweaver training class is for people new to Dreamweaver. You will learn to create HTML- and CSS-based websites without writing any code. Although HTML and CSS are not prerequisites for the class, if you have some experience with them, you will have a better appreciation of the power of Dreamweaver. After getting to know the Flash interface, you will learn to use the drawing tools and to create graphic and button symbols and cool Flash animations. This Advanced Flash training class starts with creating movie clip symbols and learning the basics of ActionScript. Students then learn to work with sound and video, to create Flash components, to load and control Flash content, and to publish their movies. This Sexual Harassment for Employees and Managers training class teaches students their rights and responsibilities and helps them gain an overall awareness of sexual harassment issues in the workplace. Students will have the opportunity to assess different scenarios and learn how to take the appropriate actions to stop sexual harassment. Students will learn how to identify the various forms of harassment and the various ways to report or address a problem. This also includes protection against retaliation. The course covers important definitions and laws addressing workplace harassment and provides real-world situations.

Diversity offers the opportunity for more viewpoints and more creative ideas within a group. Businesses today must be able to communicate, negotiate, collaborate, and associate in a diverse environment both internally and externally. Students will have the opportunity to improve team collaboration by learning and practicing more effective behaviors.

This course is for students new to HTML. It begins with an introduction to web technologies and then provides a comprehensive overview of HTML.

In this HTML5 training class, you'll start by getting your hands dirty and jumping right into HTML5 code. You'll learn about the new HTML5 structural, semantic, and form tags, how to use Canvas to create drawings natively in the browser, how to work with HTML5 audio and video, the new methods for storing variables client-side, and how you build applications that work offline. Along the way, you'll learn about the current state of browser support for HTML5 and the theory behind all the changes that have been made.

If you are new to HTML, you should take our Introduction to HTML class first. Everything covered in that course is relevant to HTML5 and is prerequisite knowledge for this class.

This Java training course is intended for students without an extensive programming background. It covers most Java syntax elements, concentrating on fundamental and universally useful elements, while providing an overview of many more advanced elements. Students will learn to write useful Java classes, applying Object-Oriented concepts such as inheritance, and create Java programs that work with these classes.

Early in the class the concept of objects is introduced so that later concepts can be discussed from the perspective of object orientation. The class is based on Java 1.5 and 1.6, but most concepts would apply in 1.4 as well.

jQuery is fast becoming a must-have skill for front-end developers. The purpose of this jQuery training course is to provide an overview of the jQuery JavaScript library. Students will also add tables and charts to a presentation to present data in a structured form and then finalize a presentation. This Objective-C training class teaches the fundamentals of programming in Objective-C, the language used to develop iPhone and iPad applications. This course covers Xcode, the integrated development environment used to build Objective-C applications. Primitive and reference variables are covered as well as arithmetic operators, conditional processing, looping, and functions. The object-oriented nature of the language is presented as well as the Foundation framework. An introduction to the Cocoa framework and a discussion of a basic user interface for mobile devices are included. We will use Xcode built-in iPhone and iPad simulators for the exercises and demonstrations in the course. In this way, students get a feel for how iPhone and iPad application development works and will be ready to move on to our iOS Application Development class.

In this iOS Application Development training course, you will learn how to develop iPhone and iPad applications using the Xcode Integrated Development Environment. The course covers building views, developing program code, and testing the application on a device simulator. This course covers major user interfaces including tab bar views, table views, page-based views, and storyboards. Database applications are also explored in addition to MapKit, Web View, and camera applications.

In this jQuery Mobile training class, you will learn to use jQuery Mobile, an HTML5-based user interface system, to develop single sites for all popular smartphone, tablet, and desktop platforms. You'll learn how to use jQuery Mobile to handle touch events, build mobile-optimized forms and widgets, incorporate HTML5 features, leverage phone capabilities such as making calls and texting, and more. Along the way, we'll cover jQuery Mobile's extensive theme framework and plugin architecture.

In this Developing Mobile Websites class, you will learn to use HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and other tools to create websites that are responsive: sites that adapt their layout to the client device being used, whether it be a smartphone, tablet computer, or desktop computer/laptop. You will learn to use CSS media queries, mobile-friendly HTML5 features, JavaScript enhancements, and various frameworks to build websites that look as good on an iPhone or Android as they do on a desktop or laptop computer.

This Oracle SQL training class helps students master SQL using an Oracle database and prepares students for a PL/SQL course. Note that this course covers SQL, not PL/SQL.

This SharePoint 2010 End User class is for end users working in a SharePoint 2010 environment. The course teaches SharePoint basics such as working with lists and libraries as well as basic page customizations.

This course requires a SharePoint 2010 Enterprise environment to successfully complete the exercises. Detailed instructions are provided to configure an existing environment or to create a fresh installation from scratch. The setup and configuration is best done by someone with system administrator skills and permissions.

Each lesson includes walk-throughs that can be used for general reference or can be used as follow-along steps for extra practice in addition to the exercises.

This SharePoint 2010 Power User training class is designed for individuals who need to learn the fundamentals of managing SharePoint sites.

This course requires a SharePoint 2010 Enterprise environment to successfully complete the exercises. Detailed instructions are provided to configure an existing environment or to create a fresh installation from scratch. The setup and configuration is best done by someone with system administrator skills and permissions.

Each lesson includes walk-throughs that can be used for general reference or can be used as follow-along steps for extra practice in addition to the exercises.

This SQL training course is designed for students new to writing SQL queries. A typical student will need to learn SQL to build applications or to generate business reports. For the most part, the SQL learned in the course is applicable to all major databases. In the few cases in which there are differences between the databases, these differences will be pointed out.

In this Windows 7 self-paced course, students will be introduced to the new features in Windows 7 and learn how to use them to work efficiently.

This Business Writing Training class will give business professionals the tools they need to write effective, efficient business correspondence. Students will learn how to get started on a writing project, use appropriate business tone in the document, and discern between the different kinds of business correspondence. Students will learn how to decide what the appropriate vehicle is for written communication in business, electronic or hard copy.

In this XML training class, you will learn to create well-formed XML documents, to build simple DTDs and XML Schema for validating XML documents, and to build XSLTs for transforming XML documents into XHTML and other XML structures.
