Technical Requirements

Oracle Database 10g/11g

Note that if you do not have Oracle 10g or Oracle 11g, you can use the Oracle 10g Express Edition. Just follow these instructions:

  1. Download Oracle Database 10g Express Edition: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/xe/htdocs/102xewinsoft.html. Note: you will need to register for a free account to gain access to the download.
  2. Execute the file you downloaded by double-clicking on it.
  3. Run through the Installer accepting all the defaults. Make sure to write down and keep your password.
  4. Go to Start > All Programs > Oracle Database 10g Express Edition and select 'Go to Database Homepage'.
  5. When presented with the Database Home Page, login using the following information:
    1. Username: system
    2. Password: Use the password you set during the installation process.

Download SQL Developer

  • SQL Developer http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/sql/index.html
    • After downloading, run through the Installer accepting all the defaults.
