Technical Requirements

Crystal Reports 2008

  • If you don't own Crystal Reports, you can download the 30-day evaluation of the developer version from the Business Objects Web site. You'll need to fill out a registration.

Connecting to Webucator's Adventure Works Database

  1. Create a new report (File/New/Standard Report or click on the New Report icon)
  2. Select “OLE DB (ADO)”
  3. Select SQL Native Client and click on the Next button
  4. Server: dev.webucator.com
  5. User ID: crystalreportsuser (No spaces, not case sensitive)
  6. Password: Will be provided by your instructor or email support2@webucator.com
  7. Select a database: Adventureworks (If you can select a database then your logon is correct and everything is working)
  8. Click finish button
