In most cases, setup will be fairly simple and intuitive. Many courses have a Setup folder in the ClassFiles folder with detailed setup instructions. A link to the technical requirements is at the bottom of each courseware description page. If you have any questions about setup for a particular course, please email courseware@webucator.com.
Webucator courseware is authored by content-area experts with a great deal of training experience. Topics are broken down into small chunks, which are explained, demonstrated with sample files or applications, and then practiced with hands-on exercises.
Consistency between manuals and class files. Most courseware companies create their manuals using a Word processor and their class files using a different tool. When they show code samples in the manual, they are copied from the class file and pasted to the manual. This is a highly error-prone process as it means that they need to maintain the content in two different places. Webucator uses an XML authoring process for creating its courseware. Every demo, exercise and solution file originates from an XML file that is compiled into the manual when the courseware is built. This guarantees that the code shown in the manual will always exactly match the code samples in the class files.
Exercises. Classes are filled with hands-on exercises, many of which have challenges for faster students.
