Nat Dunn founded Webucator in 2003 to combine his passion for Web development with his business expertise and to help companies benefit from both. Nat began programming games in Basic on a TRS-80 at age 14. He has been doing Web development and Web development training since 1998.
Before founding Webucator, Nat was the CEO of Veridocs Corporation, creator of XMLdocs, a web-based software service that allows content contributors to collaboratively author XML documents. Nat possesses a broad range of business experience in the computing, Internet and media industries. He combines senior-level management experience with deep technical knowledge of Web development languages and tools.
Prior to joining Veridocs, Nat served as the General Manager of Boston Operations at WestLake Internet Training, a Virginia-based Internet training company, where he led a team of Web development trainers. Nat is a skilled trainer and speaker. He has taught courses and given talks at such places as Merrill Lynch, Cisco Systems, WashingtonpostNewsweek Interactive, Boeing, Monster Worldwide, Johnson & Johnson, the Chicago Tribune, and Turner Broadcasting.
Before WestLake, Nat worked as a business strategy consultant at Zefer, an Internet consultancy that was acquired by NEC. Earlier in his career, he served as the national director of sales for StoryFirst Communications, an American-owned television network operating in Russia. Nat won the 2001 Contribution to Society Award from the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council for helping a Boston-area nonprofit develop and deliver a training program for low-income individuals. Nat is a certified technical trainer, a certification recognized by companies such as Microsoft, Macromedia, and Adobe. He holds a B.A. from Pomona College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
